SUMMARY

This position is responsible for collaborating with team and subject matter experts in order to understand and write engaging short and long form content for Cable Bullet’s various platforms. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Short Form Content (60% of the job)

• Executes one-time and scheduled website updates, including page headlines, product descriptions, and keyword adjustments
• Ensures SEO best practices, including technical SEO requirements, are implemented on all pages
• Writes and schedules content for email and texting platforms
• Schedules and monitors Cable Bullet’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn)
• Writes and optimizes Google Ad headlines

Long Form Content (40%) of the job)

• Edits and consolidates content for print and digital product instructions
• Writes instructional and advertising video scripts as directed by multimedia specialists
• Researches industry-relevant topics and writes blogs for various audiences

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

• 2-5 Years of experience - can operate and manage processes and work independently
• Associate’s degree preferred; will consider those with some associate degree completion and transferable skills/experience

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

• Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects
• Ability to present and describe complex ideas and concepts using easy-to-understand language
• Ability to display high attention to detail and expert editing skills
• Ability to study and understand subject matter 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to operate keyboard and view computer screen frequently
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently (or other language, as required)
• Ability to sit at a desk frequently
• Ability to talk and communicate with others via phone, in-person, and/or computer frequently 
• Ability to write ideas/information in a logical flow frequently
• Lifting up to 15 lbs. sporadically
• Vision requirements include (select all that apply): close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE USED

• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers (desktop and laptop), printers, multiple displays, and wireless headset.
• Knowledge of systems such as HubSpot, social media platforms, CMS platforms, Google Analytics and/or other marketing tools will be beneficial.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS & TRAVEL

• The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment and an operations facility, with varying levels of noise.
• Travel: Less than 5% (limited)
