Cocoon® Platform – the next level in patient-specific cell therapy manufacturing - YouTube Cocoon® Platform | Cell Therapy Manufacturing | Lonza As a Field Service Technician, you will be required to schedule and complete service events for instruments in-house at Lonza facilities, as well as to those in the field, in order to minimize down-time of related cellular manufacturing processes. This is a newly added role to our Kingston team so there will be opportunity to assist with development of service-related documentation, manuals, training and online documentation systems. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, technically proficient professional with a palpable energy level, good customer service skills, agility to meet changing priorities, drive to exceed goals, attention to detail and positive attitude. The role is based in Kingston ON, with a 50% travel demand and flexibility to work from home from time to time. Key responsibilities: Schedule and ensure successful completion of service events in your geographical territory Dispensation of parts to customer site for instrument upkeep Complete documentation paperwork providing a record of service activities, replaced parts, disposition of quarantined components, and any other deviations from standard service protocol Collaborate with Service Coordinator to perform root cause investigations, contribute to discussion of revision of service procedures based on gathered service data Key requirements: Hands-on engineering/technician work (1-4 years) Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree Computer skills, MS Office and cloud based applications Experience with integrated systems and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and/or software systems Strong communication skills Build and maintain good working relationships with internal teams and customers Ability to prioritize urgent and time sensitive tasks Confidence to work independently Attention to detail and comfort with measurement tools Must be willing/able to travel 50%, including Canada, US and overseas (on occasion) Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
