We are CA Human Services. We work to improve the lives of Virginians with developmental disabilities such as autism by strengthening services. We do this by working with people with disabilities and the systems that serve them.

The Development Coordinator will support all fund development activities associated with individual contributions, fundraising events, corporate sponsorships, and grants.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in fund raising and events
• Passion for Virginians with autism– experience with autism a plus!
• Exemplary project management, organization, creative, and communication skills
• Fluent in Spanish a plus
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask on multiple projects, while consistently meeting deadlines
• Proficiency with: Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems
• Experience with budget management
• Confident and articulate communicator with collaborative interpersonal skills
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and layout design skills are essential

Specific functions of the Position:

• Execute strategy for fund development (annual fund, events, grants, etc.)
• Project manage our annual autism conference along with other fundraising events.
• Identify and implement best practices annual fund-raising and relationship building with donors and potential supporters.
• Identify, plan and project manage events and other fund-raising opportunities
• Maintain CA’s donor and grants in our customer relationship management program
• Prepare and process all gift acknowledgements.
• Cultivate and solicit donors to the annual fund.
• Grants: plan, implement and manage the grant projects

Physical Requirements:

• Often sitting or standing for extended periods
• Ability to travel when necessary (up to 25%)
• Moderate lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to use office equipment.
