Position Overview:
Our firm is currently seeking a System Administrator within the Columbia, Maryland area. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for providing day to day operational support to client/server/storage/network devices, support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers and optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- No demonstrated experience is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 2 is required. Five (5) years of SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Active IAT Level II Certification (i.e. Security )
- Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Able to provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Ability to learn and/or basic familiarity with working in a ticketing system
- Linux experience
