Summary:

The Night Shift Production Supervisorwill be based out of our Arthur, Illinois manufacturing plant and will report to the Night Shift Plant Manager. This position is responsible for assisting overseeing the manufacturing, assembly, and shipment of C.H.I. products across the facility on the assigned shift (nights). This leader will manage a large cross-functional team that includes all team members and team leaders. This person will work with the Night Shift Plant Manager to guide manufacturing to support internal and external customer requirements and is responsible for meeting or exceeding all KPI’s including safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale. The Night Shift Production Supervisor will assist in the development of the people, processes and capabilities within the shift.

Essential Functions

1. Assist in Managing all daily activities within the manufacturing floor.
2. Assist in managing all quality, environmental health and safety compliance and regulatory aspects
3. Executes systems and processes that meet or exceed the plant goals for safety, quality, delivery, cost, production and material control
4. Works with the staff to achieve shift and personal goals. Monitors performance and develops all team members. Evaluates employee performance and establishes development and improvement plans
5. Supports efforts to implement succession planning for targeted key functional positions

Managerial Responsibilities

1. Oversees work schedules, shift start and end times
2. Makes recommendations regarding promotes and or transfers associates within assigned lines
3. Takes disciplinary action, including documenting performance, conducting verbal and written warnings, developing performance improvement plans or makes recommendations regarding these
4. Coaches and mentors leaders and associates in their daily duties
5. Uses independent judgment in fulfilling supervisory 

Work Environment:

While performing duties in a production role, employees may be routinely exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, sharp objects, equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Compensation

This position offers a market-competitive wage and benefits package depending on candidate criteria and commensurate with role and responsibilities within the organization.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

This is a fulltime position which regularly requires long hours and at times, extensive overtime. Normal hours are form 5:00pm - 4:30am.

• Proven experience driving employee engagement
• Must be knowledgeable of general manufacturing processes
