C.A.C. INDUSTRIES, INC. is Hiring a Junior Estimator Near Long Island, NY

CAC Industries is a successful and growing construction company in NYC. We were featured on Crain's New York Business list for Best Places to Work due to our superb company culture and strong values. We are currently seeking a full-time Junior Estimator to join our growing estimating team. The Junior Estimator will report to the Chief Estimators and work closely with the estimating team. The position is entry-level and the company will train the right candidate.

The main responsibility of the Junior Estimator is to support and assist the estimating team in preparation of bids and estimates by creating proposals, performing research, data input, and communicating with subcontractors and partners. Other duties include:

  • Participating in estimate strategy planning sessions
  • Participating in bid review processes
  • Aiding in product research, subcontractor solicitations, and data entry
  • Conducting business with 100% integrity and professionalism

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Heavy civil estimating or related field construction experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, Auto Cad or similar
  • Familiar with reading heavy civil construction drawings & blueprints preferred
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to complete projects under tight deadlines
