Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting mechanical equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and other fixtures to ensure their proper functionality.
• Identify maintenance issues promptly and resolve them in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maximize guest satisfaction.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and exterior spaces to address any maintenance concerns or safety hazards.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
• Assist in the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce potential failures.
• Manage and maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for the maintenance and repair tasks.
• Coordinate with external contractors when necessary to perform specialized repairs or installations.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Support other departments as needed by providing maintenance assistance or advice.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a maintenance engineer or similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and communicate effectively with team members and other hotel staff.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor when necessary.
• Flexibility to work morning/evening shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant trade qualifications are a plus.
