Jump start your career with Butterball! The HR Intern role is meant to provide an encompassing experience through a variety of projects that support our business within the HR area. You will work with local plant sites and corporate support teams to learn not only the day-to-day operations related to HR, but to also get exposure to strategic project initiatives that shape the future of local sites and the overall HR function within the company.

What you will do:

• Projects- projects could include a turnover analysis with recommended actions, creating and implementing audits of HR functions to ensure compliance, developing community outreach partnerships to support retention and staffing efforts, researching & making recommendations on company-wide benefits offerings, or similar level projects.
• Responsibilities- overall responsibilities will include tasks related to project management, building relationships with key stakeholders, data tracking & analysis, and learning to influence others.

What you already have

• Currently seeking a Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field

• Experience and or/exposure with Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and HRIS systems preferred
• Background in agriculture or manufacturing is helpful, but not required
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and creativity to help find unconventional solutions to problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively and influence the decisions of leadership.
• Willingness to work at a poultry processing facility which would include time spent in cold areas and potential for loud noise. 

Location:

• This internship will be located at the Mount Olive, NC or Ozark, AR manufacturing sites.
