Jump start your career with Butterball! The Engineering Intern position is meant to provide an encompassing experience through a variety of projects that support our business within the Corporate Engineering Department. You will work with Project Managers to get exposure to the Engineering processes related to project management of new process designs and process equipment installations.

What you will do (examples below, responsibilities of the position and what they provide the student):

• Projects- Plant layout design, process equipment installation, equipment start-ups
• Responsibilities- Field verifications of equipment and layouts, meet with contractors and vendors related to projects, support project managers in the office and the plants, participate in and document meetings related to projects.

What you already have (examples below, requirements of the position, mixture of both hard and soft skills):

• Currently seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in MS office, MS Teams
• Experience with technical writing, work scheduling
• Background in Project Management / Industrial Design / Industrial Equipment
• Has actively participated or held office in a campus or community organization (preferred but not required)
• Exposure to AutoCAD/Design Software, MS Project

Location:

• This internship will be located mainly in the Garner Corporate HQ office which is near the Raleigh area. The intern is expected to travel to the Mount Olive and Raeford processing facilities in North Carolina.
