The Butte Humane Society Clinic is searching for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! This position is full-time, Tuesday-Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm (This position is a 4 day work week, 10 hours per day.) This position works in our clinic performing reception and clerical duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking clients in and out, and educating clients on the best products and services for their pets. To be considered, the candidate will have 1 year of previous reception experience, preferably in a veterinary setting, excellent customer service skills both in-person and over the phone, excel at multi-tasking, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a team-player, have advanced communication skills, and enjoy working with animals. Making our clients and their pets comfortable during their visit is key. WORKING CONDITIONS: Team member performs duties in all areas of BHS facilities. The environment can be dirty, smelly, noisy, stressful, and demanding. There is exposure to potentially dangerous chemicals, animals, parasites and infectious disease. Subject to animal bites and scratches while handling animals. Regularly lift, carry animals weighing up to 50 pounds. Consistently exposed to animals and animal allergens under conditions with limited alternatives available. 80% of the shift requires being up and down from your desk, lifting, bending, pushing and/or pulling. Work can be physically and emotionally demanding. Consistent exposure to injured, sick, unruly, vicious, dangerous, and/or deceased animals.
