Position Summary:
This role is more than a Sous Chef, it is the opportunity to join a family, and act as a brand ambassador for bridging cultures through food. Take our patrons on a culinary adventure through education, quality customer service, and making sure they have a positive experience at our restaurant! We are counting on you to be an extension of our brand.
How you can help :
Support the Executive Chef in all BOH operations
Direct and teach cooks and the prep team on proper technique
Be a team player, and work together with your team to foster a healthy and warm atmosphere
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
Label and stores away delivered goods in appropriate location
Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary work station area
Work closely and communicate clearly with other kitchen members
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Fill in for absent staff as needed
Comply with health and safety codes
Help create menu recipes and presentation specification
Skills you have:
Team Player Positive Attitude
Excellent oral communication skills required
Positive interpersonal skills required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multicultural & diverse team
Able to acquire a California Food Handler’s License (before or within 2 weeks of hiring)
We would love if you also had:
Bilingual
Wok Experience is a plus
Experience with Asian cuisine
