If so, then we'd love to connect with you! We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our corporate office in Tacoma, WA! 

Purpose: As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day duties related to Accounts Payable invoice processing, including data entry, mail & imaging, and transaction verification. In addition, you will assist with check disbursements, filing, records coordination, and supporting the Accounting team. Your strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and great communication skills are key to success in this role.

• You are detail-oriented and your invoice processing is completed with 95% accuracy, as well as done in a timely manner to maximize early payment discounts.
• You are reliable, on-time, and meet deadline and attendance expectations – you have consistently good attendance to meet your productivity expectations and your work is completed in a timely manner.
• You consistently provide exceptional Customer Service through demonstrated professionalism, personal service level and a “friendly” Burkhart demeanor for both our suppliers and Burkhart team members (measured by supplier and team member feedback).
• You contribute to a collaborative environment your strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and new ideas.
• The Accounts Payable process runs smoothly – you take care of identifying issues and working collaboratively to solve them so your team can focus on their goals and deliverables

What you'll need...

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of office/clerical experience, preferably in Accounting, or an Associate’s Degree with a focus in Accounting/Finance.
• Position requires an individual to be bondable.

Additional items that are not required, but would be helpful:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Accounts Payable certification.
• Experience supporting multiple business locations.

The starting salary for this position will be: $20.00 per hour.
