Burke is searching for a talented Full Stack Software Engineer who is creative, enjoys solving problems, and wants to develop applications that are highly valued and contribute to the success of the organization. This is a remote position based out of Cincinnati, OH. This dedicated, collaborative development team builds and supports software for all areas of the organization. 

As a Software Engineer at Burke, you’ll be creating and maintaining web applications, middleware, and APIs that enable our organization to run efficiently. You’ll work with the latest versions of all tools and have the opportunity to introduce new tools and frameworks that can better meet our needs.

• Write code across the full stack – front-end Web UI, middle-tier service layer, and back-end database
• Perform analysis of requirements and design
• Create and execute unit tests and perform basic systems testing
• Work in an agile team process, collaborating closely with fellow developers and stakeholders
• Work from your home with regular visits to our HQ in downtown Cincinnati

What You’ll Need:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in software development using Microsoft stack (C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, etc.)
• Experience with Angular, React, or another similar JavaScript library
• Experience with Blazor
• Experience with Agile development processes, methodologies, and tools
• Basic understanding of object-oriented software design and test-driven development
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and Web Services
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and related web-dev tools
• Experience with distributed source control systems (preferably Git)
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools and concepts
• Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to company stakeholders in an easy-to-understand manner
• Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment 
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 
• Great work ethic and curiosity
