Your domain

Our People Experience team ensures that our people experience integrity, simplicity, customer success and empowerment during their time at Buildxact. We keep the business on track by hiring and developing the right people and providing our teams with the tools and experiences they need to do their best work. We prioritize, we flex, we look-ahead, we consider carefully, and we get things done.

Reporting to the CFO, you will work to execute and support global and local Buildxact people initiatives, while also working with local people leaders and team members to help drive business goals by supporting them through performance related initiatives, processes, policies and programs and programs. We're continuing to grow in North America, so if you see something that has not been built or needs improvement, it's yours to nail!

What you'll nail

• Deliver end to end talent acquisition activities for the US and Canadian teams, including strategic sourcing/prospecting, advertising, reviewing, screening, interviewing, reference checking, facilitating candidate selection, providing feedback and onboarding new team members. 
• Drive all talent acquisition activities through our ATS (Greenhouse) to support data capture, analysis and insights.
• Assist with team member onboarding, ensuring new team members have the necessary tools, resources and training they require to perform at their best.
• Administer benefits and 401(k) plans.
• Provide responsive coaching and advice spanning the employee lifecycle.
• Partner with our global team to plan and execute cyclical talent activities including performance reviews and engagement surveys.
• Proactively manage our HRIS (currently BambooHR) for proper records management.
• Support People Experience team in organizational restructures and redesigns, building proper internal communication channels when necessary.
• Manage localized legal and compliance related initiatives to minimize business risk.
• Develop an exceptional workplace experience, ensuring facilities, workplace health and safety, IT, and other factors that support engagement are effectively managed.
• Coordinate local and virtual group activities to boost employee engagement.
• Main point of contact for our office space in WeWork Domain, so general office manager tasks by be required.
• Other duties and people projects as they arise!

Your toolkit

• An understanding of US and Canadian employment legislation, including worker's compensation, hiring and termination practices, benefit administration, etc.
• Experience scaling people initiatives for a growing company.
• A know-how of ways to partner with leaders to provide actionable people-related advice.
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and how they impact a business.
• Value innovation, have a willingness to adopt new approaches and love to take ownership and drive change.
