Job Description

BuildWitt is on a mission to build a better Dirt World by solving the biggest problems in heavy civil construction, earthwork, and mining industries. 

How you will get to help us do that in this role:

As a member of our growing team of Sales Development Representatives, you'll be the first point of contact for all of BuildWitt’s inbound and outbound sales efforts.

You will help leads understand the problems BuildWitt Training solves and generate demand and excitement for BuildWitt’s product within contractors that fall squarely within BuildWitt’s highest-value target market.

You'll be directly contributing to BuildWitt’s growth, learning the ropes of a growth-stage startup and the ins and out of sales. This presents an opportunity for you to grow with the organization — with paths into Sales roles, Customer Success, Marketing, and more for top performers.

What you’ll do: 

  • Engage inbound leads, warm them up and convert them into booked meetings for the Sales team whom you'll be partnered with.
  • Draft highly personalized emails that engage outbound leads by helping them recognize the problems BuildWitt Training solves and the value it can offer to their organizations.
  • Conduct thoughtful and focused prospecting activities to engage new business.
  • Quickly develop an understanding of BuildWitt’s ideal customer base and effectively showcase BuildWitt's unique value propositions — whether through email, text, phone or video calls.
  • Enjoy creative license and demonstrate resourcefulness in managing limited time and resources wisely, to ensure you're always doing things that really matter and get you closer to success.

About You: 

  • You’re a current student focusing on a degree in Construction Management/Science, Engineering, and or Business/Sales. 
  • You’ve previously interned for a Heavy Civil construction company or have applicable SAAS sales experience. 
  • You can dedicate 15-25 hours per week with a set schedule. 
  • You have some experience in a BDR or SDR role and are comfortable engaging leads through email, phone, and video.
  • You have a consultative sales approach and excel at developing your own sales style and tailoring every conversation to a lead's unique circumstances.
  • You believe in BuildWitt's mission and recognize the unique value BuildWitt's product offers.
  • You're enthusiastic, energetic, and ambitious, with a desire to continue learning and improving. You also take the initiative to help promote the same among your peers.
  • You are the perfect blend of driven and dependable. You leave a trail of consistent effort and transparent organization behind and don’t require micro-management to do the right thing. 

Requirements / Structure / Benefits

  • Performance-based: hourly base variable bonus dependent on meetings booked and results achieved from qualified handoffs. 
  • 15-25 hours per week
  • You will need to provide a personal laptop and phone 
  • Daily stand-up meetings on days you work with your team
