Grow your career as a Wedding & Leisure Group Sales Specialist with Apple Leisure Group (ALG)! The Wedding & Leisure Group Sales Specialist is focused on new incoming group leads and plays an important role in qualifying new groups and guiding customers through the group options ALG Vacations offers to allow for the highest possible sales conversion.

As the frontline of Consumer Direct Group Sales, you will be dedicated to providing best-in-class sales and customer service on all group opportunities in a fast-paced, fun, and supportive environment.

Best of all, no cold-calling, only inbound calls and emails from potential customer and outbound calls to existing customers! Additionally, there are great career growth opportunities to move into our Wedding & Event Concierge team or into specialized positions within our Group Operations and Service teams.

A successful Wedding & Leisure Group Sales Specialist will :

  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact to answer incoming calls and emails via the Group Departments communication channels for all ALG Vacations brands *(Apple Vacations, Weddings by Funjet, Cheap Caribbean, BeachBound, and Southwest Vacations).*
  • Recommend new or different group solutions to meet the needs of each customer including offering new hotels, destinations, or booking incentives
  • Enter, manage, and prioritize new leads through CRM
  • Work with customers to develop appropriate itineraries to satisfy their group needs
  • Work with hotels to solicit and secure group rates as needed
  • Respond to customers for group vacations on a timely basis
  • Present quote information (written and verbal) to customer in a professional manner
  • Meet goals and expectations as established by leadership
  • Build customer loyalty and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Attend training sessions to build or maintain product knowledge, including processes and terms and conditions
  • Provide assistance and backup to team members within the Groups Department
  • Take pride and strive for excellence in responding same day to all communications and phone calls
  • Consistently provide feedback and ideas to further streamline our process
  • Set a great example by being a top performer and consistently receiving positive marketplace feedback by providing high-level customer service
  • Align closely with teammates to problem solve and support each others workload
  • Be flexible in supporting different tasks throughout the day as priorities change

Requirements :

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Good time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of the groups workflow process
  • Proficient in both Microsoft Software including, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Preferred but not required experience using Salesforce.com & DocuSign
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to contribute to results driven and team oriented environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to meet and / or exceed established sales targets
  • Strong ability to efficiently navigate through various computer screens and programs
  • Customer Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Sales Knowledge of principles and methods for selling products and services including sales techniques and sales control systems
  • Negotiation Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences for a positive out come
  • Persuasion Persuading others to change their minds or behavior
  • Learning from Past Experience Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Active Listening Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Critical Thinking Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Judgment and Decision-Making Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

  • Associates Degree or equivalent, or two (2) plus years of relevant experience in travel, group sales, event and / or wedding planning;

or an equivalent combination of education and experience
