Buff City Soap is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Addison, TX

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the overall design and creation of high-quality visual materials, including both print and digital media, for Buff City Soap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and create compelling graphic assets and templates to be used in PowerPoint, print marketing, and external and internal company printed materials. Graphic designers are responsible for creating press ready files for signage and packaging.
  • Create daily content for social channels this would include but not limited to intermediate animation, static photos, and graphics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand individual project needs and determine design solutions that align with marketing and brand guidelines
  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, aftereffects) to create visual assets
  • Design and create documents for use in print advertising
  • Design and create PowerPoint presentations for internal Buff City Soap usage
  • Ensure that all assets adhere to brand standards
  • Participate in brainstorms from packaging design to campaigns to naming products
  • Take the initiative to transform campaign and content ideas into visual assets
  • Accommodate other interdepartmental design requests
  • Work on any task and help solve problems — be humble and scrappy
  • Incorporate changes recommended by franchisees and project owners into final designs
  • Review designs for errors before sending to external vendors or internal partners to publish
  • Communication with franchisees and project owners regarding revisions, file prep, and timelines.
  • Partnering with a copywriter to create compelling layouts/signage/packaging that resonate with guests

BASIC & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience (2 years) as a Graphic Designer or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication or a related field required
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of design projects, showcasing creativity, technical skills, and a keen eye for detail
  • Experience with procreate and ability to do illustration work compliant with brand guidelines.
  • On set experience preferred via product staging, propping, and extra hands on set.
  • Mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint including layouts, animations, templates, and using PowerPoints to tell a coherent story
  • Willingness to deliver on quick turnaround requests
  • Passion for learning new techniques to continue to push the brand and create innovative designs.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills
  • Strong skills within Adobe Creative Suite - Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (After Effects and Premiere is a plus)
  • Experience working with videographers and animators through storyboards, and accurate descriptions.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
  • High levels of attention to detail. Graphic designers are on set helping stage products ensuring that all labels are correct, product selection is accurate, and displayed harmoniously.

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing for extended periods
  • Ability to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods
  • Travel: Rarely (Less than 10%), locally
