Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President Sales, Service & Marketing, the National Account Manager provides the highest level of customer service to strategic clients serving as a link between the customer and our team to ensure our deliverable is up to the customer’s expectations.

The National Account Manager is responsible for performing required duties in the Sales and Service Team and for the account onboarding experience and business reviews for all Buckland Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client servicing: includes visits and/or meetings with customers and reporting of any issues to Vice President Sales, Service & Marketing
  • Managing large company accounts and building relationships with key personnel
  • Networking within national accounts to secure all business opportunities
  • Accountabilities including facilitation and preparing of reports for all key account meetings as well setting goals in including pre-call and post call preparation and reporting
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of customers’ business activities, history, brokerage & logistic rates.
  • Stay current with Industry news and regulatory changes.
  • Assess new business opportunities and by understanding internal process procedures and internal stakeholder requirements
  • New account management: oversee TAP monitoring and follow up account assignment
  • Oversee the transition of corporate accounts from the CSA group to the Operations Departments
  • Actively improve client relationships with ability to provide summary to the Executive Team.
  • Improve department processes and written procedures, with a focus on CRM Automation
  • US Compliance client focus including, coordination and delivering updates to customers and ensuring there is co-ordination between operations and compliance
  • Travel required up to 20% for client visits within US, Canada and Mexico
  • Base office will be in US

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • CCS, CSCB Customs Certified Specialist Designation or similar preferred
  • USA Licensed Customs Broker required in good standings
  • 5 years of experience within the brokerage industry
  • 5 years of commercial experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and a networked environment
  • Self-motivated and self-directed to meet planned objective by effective scheduling and time management
  • Reliable, positive, and a self-motivated team player
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willing to travel internationally
