POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for executing Company’s sales and gross margin goals, sales training, and implementing strategic objectives for sales. 

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Directly supervise, lead, manage and coach, as well as hire, train, mentor, evaluate and retain sales employees. 
• Develop tactical plans that support the company’s strategic direction for base protection, competitive threats, growth, and market development.
• Evaluate sales results, take corrective actions, set key performance indicators, and prioritize opportunities for improvement. 
• Recommend and implement performance measures with regards to sales.
• Oversee channel strategies of direct reports, ensures appropriate balance of channel relationships.
• Advise and administer sales technology (CRM, CPQ, etc.). 
• Partners with Finance, Marketing, and Operations to ensure that strategies and processes are aligned.
• Recommends and enforces appropriate pricing for customers. 
• Actively seeks to understand market pricing and offerings of our competitors. 
• Trains sales on company products and services.
• Trains sales on company policies and procedures. 
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by management. 

Requirements

III. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field of study. 
• 1-3 years sales management or supervisory equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of telecommunications cable plant and associated structures.
• Intermediate PC skills – Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel – and knowledge of sales technologies.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle appropriate for the job position.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to read and interpret business documents and contracts. 
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions 
• Ability to effectively function as a team player.

• Seeing - Must be able to read computer screen and various reports: 75-100%
• Hearing - Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with employees and industry contacts: 75-100%

• Fingering/Grasping/Feeling - Must be able to write, type, and use phone system: 75-100%

V. WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
