Job Summary:

Responsible for completing and assisting with on-site warehouse activities associated with each warehouse task.

Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities):

1. Shipping and Receiving – Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.

2. Organization – Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.

3. Inventory – Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.

4. Maintenance – Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

5. Safety – Operates machinery such as forklift or pallet jack as safe measures of moving materials. Safety gear required to be worn.

6. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

• Physical Ability – Ability to work in the field in hot and cold environments while competently working around heavy equipment. Physically capable of lifting and carrying 50 pounds of materials or tools.

• Communication Skills – Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver concise, understandable reports and instructions

• Computer Skills – Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including spreadsheet and word processing programs

Equivalent Education/Experience

• Graduation from High School

• 1-2 years warehouse experience in Telecommunications industry preferred but not required

• OSHA-10 Certification preferred but not required

• Forklift Operator Certification preferred but not required

• Current and valid driver's license required with clear driving record

Work is physically demanding requiring ability to lift and/or move heavy objects, and involves exposure to various warehouse temperatures.
