SUMMARY
Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, The Spa Manager will be responsible for all aspects of hotel spa for The Brownwood Hotel & Spa. This leadership role provides the highest level of service to our spa associates and is directly be responsible for maintaining guest satisfaction and spa operations at a luxury level hotel environment. Responsibilities ranging from budgeting, financials, service level performance, service programs, and day-to-day operations. The Spa manager will also be responsible for training, supervising, retaining and motivating a qualified team of professionals; by achieving sales goals, business objectives and spa profitability.
· The Ideal Candidate:
· Three years’ previous spa management experience
- Medical spa experience or background preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle pressure well, self-motivated, adaptable to change and very detail oriented.
- Must have strong financial acumen and advanced analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as advanced computer knowledge.
- Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
- Varied knowledge in all spa services
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Spa operational budget.
- Establish and enforce internal costs and labor control.
- Assist in revenue enhancement programs.
- Implement spa related marketing strategies, collateral and promotional activities in conjunction with the hotel’s Marketing team.
- Be up to date with current salon and spa trends.
- Drive spa group sales by working with the sales teams and local community partners.
- Responsible for analyzing financial budgeting, forecasting, and yield management.
- Manage personnel under own supervision including hiring, guiding, directing, developing, training counseling, discipline and evaluations.
- Handle weekly payroll and gratuity distribution.
- Oversee the compliance of state laws regarding spa health standards, insurance requirements and provider license and renewal.
- Ensure established staffing and service levels are consistently achieved in compliance with Hotel standards.
- As a hotel department manager, work with other hotel departments to build a strong relationship to create a seamless guest experience.
- Responsible for attending hotel wide meetings and communicating relevant information to spa staff.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
- Be flexible with own schedule, supporting the needs of the hotel and spa.
EDUCATION
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· College degree is preferred.
· Related experience is required.

NOTE: The hotel functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an associate from their accustomed shift as business demands. In addition, I understand that business determines the amount of hours I work. A minimum of 45 hours a week and could be more based on business/staffing needs.
