Responsibilities

  • As an Entry-Level Leave of Absence Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the administration and coordination of leave programs, including but not limited to Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), personal leaves, and disability accommodations

Responsibilities

  • Your role will involve working closely with the HR Generalist, management, and employees to ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations throughout the leave duration
  • Process leave requests, including FMLA, personal leaves, and disability accommodations, by following established protocols and guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date leave records, documenting all relevant information in our HRIS
  • Collaborate with employees and HR partners to answer leave-related inquiries and provide support throughout the leave process
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and pivot tables to analyze leave data, generate reports, and identify trends to improve leave management processes
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable leave laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Keep abreast of changes in leave-related laws and regulations to ensure up-to-date knowledge and compliance
  • Participate in HR meetings and training sessions as needed to enhance your understanding of leave management best practices

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Some college education or business classes are desirable
  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with specific experience in using pivot tables to analyze and present data effectively
  • Positive attitude with a great work ethic and ability to function well on a team
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work on time
  • Effective multitasking skills in a high-volume fast, paced, team-oriented environment
  • iCIMS or Applicant Tracking experience a plus
  • Winteam experience a plus
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leave cases simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to explain complex leave processes to employees
  • Detail-oriented and highly accurate in managing leave records and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion
