Responsibilities

Plans, monitors and manages internal projects from initiation through completion.

Serves as an expert in own area within the organization.

Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices.

Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions.

Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, scheduling, supply and subcontract management, vendor relationships, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management.

Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, cost and industry standards.

Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.

Ensures project documentation in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

Acts as Project Manager for medium scale projects with moderate complexity within one discipline.

Collaborates on projects with subject matter expert (SME) within separate disciplines.

Develops LEAN process improvements.

Qualifications

Education and ExperienceBachelor Degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 years in a related industry, primarily with a senior living, healthcare or hospitality focus. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special RequirementsMust possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a private vehicle for business use. Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred.

Management/Decision MakingUses strong analytic skills and an in-depth understanding of the organization and the business in order to handle arising problems and issues. Solves diverse problems using solid analytical skills where limited precedents or guidelines exist.

Knowledge and SkillsHas significant knowledge of an advanced discipline with a working knowledge of related fields. Has significant knowledge of the organization, work environment and process. Has knowledge to direct multiple functions and/or departments with full responsibility for operational results. Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Ability to forecast problems and maintain strong conflict resolution skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Microsoft Project experience is helpful. Strong relationship skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
