Overview

40 hours - Schedule: Monday - Friday

General Statement of Duties:

Works as an integral member of the Marketing, Philanthropy, and Communications team by developing and managing creative content for various marketing and communication channels including social and print media. Provide direction and support for all marketing efforts, including internal and external special events.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Vice President of Development, Director of Communications & Community Relations and team support the development and execution of a comprehensive digital and print media plan.
  • Create original graphics for use in digital and print publications, including social media.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of social media channels and campaigns including management and coordination of program specific accounts and pages.
  • Work with Marketing, Communications and Philanthropy team and subject matter experts to promote BAMSI services, programs, events and overall brand.
  • Evaluate relevant social media platforms to determine how to reach segment audiences and leverage advertising most effectively
  • Update BAMSI’s websites and intranet. Coordinate with web developer and hosting agency as needed.
  • Coordinate with BAMSI programs, departments, and/or agency partners to develop and repurpose content that drives engagement.
  • Collect, analyze, and present marketing and communications related data to the Marketing Communications, and Philanthropy team along with actionable insights and recommendations to optimize results.
  • Act as a brand steward, ensuring consistency of BAMSI’s visual brand throughout the agency.
  • Oversee implementation of corporate social media policy; respond to grievances on social media and monitor all activity, while increasing interaction and engagement.
  • Provides onsite or remote coverage of events, to help facilitate logistics and capture photos and videos to publish real-time content on social media.
  • Manage and expand inventory photos and videos along with releases/permission for content related to persons served by BAMSI.
  • Create videos for use internally and externally on YouTube, Facebook and TikTok
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and digital marketing trends.
  • Contribute to creating an effective team environment by being solution oriented; communicating with others in a professional and respectful manner; and, fostering a happy and strength-based culture.
  • Complete all other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Excellent graphic design skills. Ability to create original graphic content and repurpose existing materials.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience maintaining/updating websites. Knowledge of HTML and Word press
  • Familiarity with Canva and Adobe products.
  • Ability to create and edit original video.
  • Experience with photography.
  • Knowledge of traditional and internet marketing and communication principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible, goal-oriented and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of resourcefulness. Should be a self-starter, ready to share ideas and work collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail a must.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred with 4-5 years related experience
  • Previous experience working with a nonprofit organization strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to BAMSI’s mission and values.
  • Desire to grow professionally.
