The Broadmoor Hotel's Talent Acquisition Team is Hiring a Massage Therapist Near Colorado Springs, CO

Pay Rate: $34.00-55.00 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate service charge* *$34.00-55.00 per hour based on $10.63 per hour base wage service commission gratuity paid per shift; historically, this position averages service commission earnings of $5.00-15.00 per hour and gratuity earnings of $19.00-30.00 per hour. Commissions and gratuities will fluctuate based on events and time of year. Summary: Deliver superior massage, body treatment and hydrotherapy services to Broadmoor Spa guests and Golf Club members. Support and uphold the Broadmoor Hotel Mission, policies, and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Provide thoughtful, positive, friendly, and professional service to all internal and external guests and always exhibit a positive attitude; Provide superior massage, body treatment and hydrotherapy services as offered with consistency to current treatment protocols in a professional manner • Contribute to the experience of the guests by the timely performance of services; Constantly review personal work schedule for changes or adjustments • Oversee and ensure all proper safety, sanitation and use procedures, based on Department of Regulatory Agencies for all implements, supplies and tools; maintain all professional draping standards and other applicable ethical standards; maintain and properly use all equipment provided; maintain cleanliness and sanitation within assigned work areas. • Be mindful of budget and the need to be efficient with all products used; Keep Supervisor informed of supply levels and applicable maintenance needs • Understand the complete menu of services and related retail products to better educate guests and members; promote all areas of the spa and hotel • Respond positively to feedback provided by guests, management, and fellow massage therapists to continually offer growth in the position • Maintain flexibility and a positive attitude regarding changes required to enhance guest experience or meet the fiscal needs of the organization • Flexibility in work schedule required • Assist in the development of resolutions to concerns keeping in mind the short term and long-term success for the Spa facility and its patrons • Keep abreast of current changes in the Massage Industry; Pursue continuing education opportunities; Continue personal growth and education through available on-site resources and on your own; Maintain Certifications and State Regulated License with personal Insurance for Massage Therapy. • Fulfill extra duties daily. This includes but is not limited to the following: folding and stocking linen, opening and closing treatment rooms and Spa facility, refreshing drink stations, maintaining service expectations and procedures, cleaning, dispensing of soiled linen properly. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; Graduate of an accredited Massage Program and be a Licensed Massage Therapist within the State of Colorado holding the required personal Insurance for Massage Therapy. Two years of work experience in position is preferred. Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to understand and comprehend verbal communication with guests, member, employees, and management. Execute with efficiency verbal directions within service setting. Computer Skills: Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel. Knowledge of Spa Soft software preferred. Certificates and Licenses: Diploma from an accredited 500-hour massage therapy school; AMTA membership highly regarded; Licensed and Insured within the State of Colorado Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
