PROGRAM SUMMARY:
- COINS is a multi-user, on-line information system supporting contracting, budgeting, and analyses necessary for the financial management of the airlift augmentation program. COINS prepares and executes contractual documents for commercial augmentation of the AMC organic fleet to support air mobility efforts worldwide. The system records commercial airlift support requirements; solicits, receives, evaluates, and selects offers from air carriers; prepares certifying funding; and executes contractual documents for airlift services. Support is required for COINS sustainment and minor enhancements to its current capability.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot RedHat Enterprise Linux servers.
- Perform system upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination by following documentation and departmental standards to provide a stable product for the environment
- Follow and maintain IT security awareness and best practices by understanding security principles as they pertain to environments supported in order to deliver secure solutions to customers
- Work in unison with other team members to ensure complete and accurate implementation of changes utilizing department approved Change Management and team policies
- Create Cloud based infrastructure required by the Software team within secure AWS VPC
- Perform weekly patch analysis and if needed, patch systems
- Configure RHEL and Tomcat servers to meet STIG requirements and maintain applicable SSM documents and Cloud Formation templates
- Perform RHEL 7 and Tomcat 7 upgrade to newer versions available
- Perform server and software audit functions including Hardware/Software inventory and version documentation
- Create and maintain scripts to spin up and spin down instances required for application on demand
- Work with Dev team to deploy newer version of software in the Cloud
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) years of RedHat Enterprise Linux Servers experience
CERTIFICATION:
- IAT LEVEL II – Security
CLEARANCE LEVEL:
- NACI Public Trust
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Remote
