What We Seek...
Britten Woodworks is an industry leader in building custom-fabricated architectural millwork, retail environments, and large-format experiential events for customers around the world. If you have experience in Finish Carpentry, Cabinet Making, or Commercial/Residential millwork, we want you to become a part of our dynamic and growing team. This is a key member of the department team focused on safely and efficiently producing custom wood products and projects for our customers.
Job Summary and Job Functions
- Work with all shop equipment including: panel saws, CNC routers, shapers, edge bander, power hand tools
- Hardwood and veneer processing including pre and post-lamination
- Process a variety of materials including but not limited to, wood, metal, glass, plastic, fabric, and solid surface
- Read and understand shop drawings, architectural blueprints, and renderings
- Attend project meetings and provide valuable insight to construction methods and timelines
- Work with team to break out specific processes of work-order to efficiently produce quality work
- Take calculations and measurements
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and complete jobs with demanding deadlines while maintaining a focus on attention to detail
- Maintains strong knowledge of in-line assembly processes, systems, and tools
- High energy level required with the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Communicate with other departments clearly about project status when elements are completed/passed into the next department

Requirements
- Wood working, Carpentry and/or Finish experience required.
- Ability to learn quickly
- Great attention to detail
- Outstanding work ethic and dependability
- Proactive self-starter with a positive attitude
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including their design, repair and maintenance (including table saw, panel saw, jointer, planer, molder, shaper and/or mortise), preferred
- Know how to read and understand blue prints and drawings
- Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
- Visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operates machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; performs mechanical or skilled trade tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
- Subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
- Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
