Fully remote position in the United States

BriteCore is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to improve and support our insurance products. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will bring proven expertise for supporting and improving the software experience for insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member on a Zendesk Ticket support team
• Help identify new functionality to improve system stability in existing database-intensive applications
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills to support existing applications/frameworks
• Skilled at optimizing the performance of database calls and application logic
• Provide excellent service over the phone and in writing, along with assisting the customer with troubleshooting
• Identify customers' needs, clarify information, research every issue, document and provide solutions
• Provide after-hours testing and support of product
• Understanding of Insurance process, including insurance policy manuals, rating manuals, and underwriting guidelines

Skills and Requirements

Python - Django, Web.py, and other frameworks on occasion

• Experience in Python Web Development required, but also knowledge of using it as a scripting language

MySQL

• Ability to determine what is fast/slow in a database query
• Ability to write queries and run them in a test and production environment

Familiarity with AWS Technologies

• EC2, ECS, and Lambda & API Gateway
• Amazon Aurora MySQL
• Amazon S3
• CloudWatch
• Step Functions

Familiar with JavaScript, MoTools, jQuery, and Knockout JS

Experience working in an Ubuntu environment

3 Years of experience working as a Backend developer in Enterprise, B2B SaaS companies
