BrightStar Care of Lane County - Eugene, OR is Hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) Near Cottage Grove, OR

BrightStar Care of Eugene, OR, is growing and seeking an experienced Director of Nursing! Are you a home care RN with management experience, looking for a career where you can impact the lives of others living in Eugene, Springfield, Cottage Grove and the surrounding areas? The Director of Nursing will oversee our growing clinical team and supervise care for our skilled and private duty clients. This role will include expanding our in-home care scope of service as we roll out our newly added home health level of care.
This position will include both field work and office/administrative duties.

DON Responsibilities 
  • Clinical oversight of all nursing activity
  • Promote and enhance the level of clinical expertise of staff to provide safe and quality nursing care and documentation as necessary 
  • Review physician’s orders and update the plans of care and documentation as necessary 
  • Assist with interviewing, selecting, training, and validation of new team members 
  • Internal case management, evaluation, and development of nursing talent 
  • Ensure adherence to state, federal, Joint Commission, and local policies and procedures 
  • Supervise nursing staff providing in-skilled nursing care to clients of all ages 
  • Supports positive growth environment 
  • Rotational On-call duties
DON Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing 
  • Current Oregon RN license in good standing 
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience (in home or home health care nursing preferred)
  • Minimum two (2) years of management experience 
  • Advanced smart phone and MS Office experience
  • EMR experience
  • Experience with proposals, obtaining licensing, business strategy
  • Current CPR certification 
  • Current driver’s license 
  • TB skin test results within one year of hire or chest X-ray within 5 years of hire 
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
