POSITION PURPOSE:The Senior Reporting Analyst will be responsible for delivering full life-cycle reporting solutions using industry standard business intelligence tools to deliver data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet business needs. Designs, develops, tests and maintains complex reports, and identifies data / reporting opportunities. Working effectively as a contributing member of the Finance Team, this role will provide hands-on support for a variety of projects critical to business operations. Ensures that all Briggs Industrial Solutions standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:1. Design, develop, implement and maintain business reports and reporting tools that will increase productivity and drive efficiencies 2. Partner with business unit and department leaders to assess, prioritize, and focus resources for technical report requirements and translate business needs into reporting solutions that support business development and improve cost effectiveness of operations 3. Collaborate with cross functional partners (Operations, Sales, Finance, etc.) to identify high priority areas of reporting improvement and ensure efforts are aligned and fully support strategic business plans and drive profitability4. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, assist with the design, execution and implementation reporting deliverables 5. Create business reports using PowerBi, Paginated Reports and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)6. Collaborate with Reporting team on multiple projects simultaneously to meet reporting deliverables7. Document reporting processes and procedures, including a review of best practices8. Provide support, troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues as they arise ensuring accurate and reliable reporting9. Perform other related duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBasic Knowledge & Competencies:• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and commitment to exceptional customer service and support• Excellent time management skills to include prioritization of tasks, communication, execution to meet established deadlines• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, team player, quick learner and self-starter • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills• Exceptional coding & documentation skills• Proficient in database management to include understanding of database architecture and the key elements required to integrate data sets• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Reporting, Analysis, & Integration Services Previous Experience/Education:• Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology or related field or equivalent experience preferred • 2 years’ experience in data analysis / information reporting • 5 years’ experience in Power Bi or SQL programming / business intelligence report writing / development• Microsoft Certifications preferred (PL-300 or past DA-100 and/or DP-900)• Previous experience with finance or accounting reports preferred• Experience with SSRS required, Paginated reports preferred• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred• Microsoft Dynamics AX experience preferred• Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tool experience preferred • Experience in Data Warehouse and Cubes preferred• Knowledge of database performance facts, monitoring tools and tuning procedures preferred • Experience in database tuning and database archiving preferred • Experience with the following programming language: C#, .Net Development and MS SQL • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server Development including creation of tables / schema definition, view, stored procedures, functions, trigger, and performance optimization• Demonstrated ability to perform database troubleshooting and implement solutions • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly to a high level of proficiencyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS• Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis• Availability to work 24/7 on-call as needed• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds• Required travel is less than 10%
