- Manage the monthly close, AP/AR, general ledger, expense allocations, funder reporting, and cash flow
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Cultivate and maintain working relationships with banking and investment partners
- Serve as the point of contact for auditors and generate year-end schedules for the annual audit
- Prepare relevant financial documents, including Form 990 and CHAR 500
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, with a focus on instilling a culture of collaboration
- Approximately 10 years of relevant accounting experience, including time in a management role
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and/or CPA preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the organization
- Government grants and/or contracts experience (i.e., restricted revenue) is preferred
- Strong experience leading and cultivating a team
- Experience implementing systems a plus
