We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud-based security technologies and practices, as well as experience in managing the security of cloud-based systems. The Cloud Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of our Government customers cloud-based infrastructure and certain underlying application components for a large dynamic enterprise system. This is role requires candidates to possess an active Top Secret / SCI security clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph. This role is on-site in Chantilly, VA.

Examples of your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement cloud-based security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Maintain role-based access controls for cloud-based components, as well as users for certain cloud based applications
• Monitor and analyze cloud-based security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud-based systems to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Implement security controls and measures, such as encryption, access controls, and identity management, to protect cloud-based assets.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and compliance, to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging cloud security technologies and practices to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of cloud-based security.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in cloud security architecture, design, and implementation.
• Deep understanding of cloud-based security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, and log analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) concepts at the application and cloud level
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Desire to learn new skills and technologies
• Top Secret / SCI with CI Poly is required
