The Network Administrator will provide hands-on administration support, network maintenance and operations support for the design and installation of the company servers and storage environments.
Responsibilities & Attributes for Success:
• Responsible for the design, implementation, support and maintenance of WAN, LAN, WLAN and MPLS related technologies.• Responsible for the installation, administration and maintenance for network equipment, including but not limited to switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls• Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of IP services, e.g. DHCP and DNS • Responsible for the asset management of network equipment. • Responsible for the management of router ACLs and firewall rules • Participates in the documentation of IT services, and is specifically responsible for the documentation of the network, including network diagrams, inventories, and vendor contacts• Responsible for the monitoring of network resources for availability and capacity. • Assists in the maintenance for physical and virtual servers in a VMware environment, including patch management. • Assists in disaster recovery strategy planning and execution • Maintains technical competence with networking technologies via technical reading, seminars, trade shows and conferences.
