The Highlights:
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years experience in a retail or warehouse environment and 2 years experience in a supervisory position. Ideally, previous responsibilities related to customer service and outbound shipment to customers in a warehouse operational area and related personnel activities as you will supervise a group of hourly warehouse associates and contract employees by providing leadership and direction to achieve safety goals, reduce expenses, and increase productivity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for following and maintaining employee work schedules and assigning tasks to team members.
• Help coach and train team members on policies and procedures.
• Ensure employees work safely per company policies and federal/state regulations.
• Greet the crew and have a short meeting to review any information that needs to be passed on.
• Assign duties to all crew members and ensure they do a safety check on their equipment before starting work.
• Check all pick tickets to ensure that any shortages are truly shortages, not items the selector missed.
• Verify all completed orders before invoicing to ensure the Selector did not short-ship or over-ship any products and selected correct products, not just piece count.
• Perform clerical and accounts receivable activities related to customer invoicing; complete all nightly invoicing of sales orders and driver logs.
• Look at completed pallets to ensure they are correctly stacked, wrapped, and tagged with a route number for shipping.
• Ensure all pallets ready for shipping are staged in the proper area until loading.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects and multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• May require prolonged standing, walking, squatting, and bending
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Must withstand temperatures as cold as 32 degrees or as high as 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Must know MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience in a wholesale distribution environment with SAGE 100 experience is preferred.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of combined experience in invoicing /shipping/order picking preferred
• 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center. Prefer experience in a perishable environment.
