Northrop Grumman Space - Payload and Ground Systems Division has an opening for a Business Development Manager 3 to lead business development operations efforts for a complex portfolio of ongoing programs and growth opportunities. The job is located at the Northrop Grumman Space campus in Linthicum, MD. This position is a highly visible opportunity reporting to the Payload and Ground Systems Division (PGSD) Business Development Director. This critical leadership role shall contribute to the long-term division growth for customer focused, domestic and international markets. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations for the Space Sector's PGSD and will work closely with several executives including the PGSD Vice President / General Manager, the Strategy & Business Development Senior Director, the four business units including their Vice Presidents, and NG Space Sector and Corporate business development resources. The successful candidate will be an action-oriented, collaborative, and detailed-oriented self-starter who demonstrates the ability successfully leverage and apply applicable experience in operations and project management to this dynamic and evolving role. Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:
* Directs day-to-day operations to enable growth objectives for PGSD annual operating plan, pipeline management and analysis
* Coordinates across four large business units, divisions, sector and corporate teams to manage priority wins through the capture review process
* Leads PGSD Business Acquisition Process (BAP) management and Digital Transformation initiatives with close collaboration with Space Sector and PGSD business units
* Leads coordination and development of recurring reporting
* Manages Division Business Development Tradeshows, Conferences, Major Events and Training Curriculum
* Supports Engagement Leads at Division and Sector to strengthening relationships
* Coordinates and collaborates with line of business management, strategy, business and finance, contracts and global supply chain, technology and engineering offices and functions
* Communicates and coordinates with Government Relations / Legislative AffairsBasic Qualifications:
* 10 years of experience providing business, program, and/or operational support to Department of Defense (DoD) customer programs or pursuits
* Business development, strategy, capture, or program management experience
* Knowledge of DoD acquisition, requirements, and budget policies and processes
* Active DoD top secret clearance (TS/SCI)Preferred Qualifications: * 15 years of experience supporting Technology and Intelligence-related industries
* Direct program and operational experience within the Intelligence domain * Experience with International Business
* Working knowledge of U.S. Government procurement policies and regulations
* Program management, hardware and/or software engineering skills
* Experience developing presentations for Executive Leaders
* Experience leading operations for large program organizations
* Experience with NG Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and NG Salesforce ApplicationSalary Range: $156,800 - $235,200 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
