Job Description:

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. Monitors the production of breads, pastries and savory food items to make sure company standards are met. Production lead sets and maintains production schedules. As well as, encouraging safe work practices, and a demonstrated commitment to our Mission and Procedures. 

Responsibilities:

  • Daily coordination and communication with upper management and other team members.
  • Maintains strict adherence to production procedures and ensures others are following them as well.
  • Sets and maintains production schedules
  • Monitors the flow of inventory to ensure satisfactory par levels.
  • Ensures all equipment and tools associated with their department are kept in working order and are not abused.
  • Onboard new staff, teaching best practices and correct procedures.
  • Ensure all areas of the kitchen are clean and tidy.
  • Ensures proper staff coverage, scheduling according to the needs of business while maintaining target labor costs.
  • Maintains proper loss prevention standards
  • Promotes and practices safe work habits, identifying and resolving potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies and any team member or customer incidents. Documents accidents, conducts initial investigation and determination of root cause in the interest of maintaining a safe work environment.
