$5,000.00 Sign-On Bonus$2,500.00 paid at 6 months$2,500.00 paid at 12 monthsPOSITION SUMMARY The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric assessments and treatment and coordinates the delivery of care for patients and their families to clinical departments across our campus to ensure continuity of patient care. In partnership with clinical leadership, physicians and unit staff, the Behavioral Health NP develops and assures that the standards of practice for behavioral based interventions and optimal patient outcomes are achieved. Utilizes knowledge of our behavioral health patient population and growth and development over the life span and demonstrates skill in the independent application of this knowledge to the care process.

• QUALIFICATION
  • EDUCATION:
    • Graduate of accredited nursing program.
  • EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:
    • Minimum 2 years current behavioral health nursing experience.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential material with sensitivity, maturity,
      and discretion.
    • Reading/comprehension skills; understanding anatomy and medical
      terminology.
    • Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team,
      handling a variety of tasks and fluctuating workloads.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize own work and
      the work of others.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Competency handling electronic information and functional knowledge using clinical applications.
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):
    • Current Vermont RN license.
    • Current Vermont APRN license.
    • Current AHA BLS certification.
