Brasfield & Gorrie is Hiring an IT Project Manager I Near Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities

An IT Project Manager I will support the IT department and IT Technology Solutions Manager with planning, scheduling, cost analysis, and process analysis. This role will also work to foster active communication between IT and other company departments and divisions.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Partner with IT Technology Solutions Manager to establish and maintain a project management methodology incorporating standards, processes, documentation, and reporting
  • Ensure proper identification, establishment, and assignment of stakeholders for projects
  • Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates and collect needed information
  • Assist in the prioritization of projects within the IT Department
  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning meetings
  • Provide both high-level oversight schedules for the department and detailed project schedules where needed
  • Able to effectively manage multiple key projects within the department
  • Coordinate schedules and resource assignments between projects
  • Conduct risk assessments for projects
  • Assist with IT Department budget planning, tracking, and forecasting
  • Establish or improve processes and procedures being supported throughout the IT Department

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with Computer or Information related degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years industry experience preferred
  • IT customer service experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Desire to excel in a fast-paced environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required for success
  • Experience with Scrum and Agile methodology
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment
  • Ability to research, collect data, and clearly present results to a large audience
  • Experience with Smartsheet application preferred
