We are looking for a Staff Accountant II who will have a very active role in the monthly close process, with responsibility for calculating and recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and performing flux analysis for our Domestic and International divisions. The position is a direct report to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities

• Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries, including allocations, prepaids, accruals and adjustments according to monthly close schedule
• Prepare all post close internal reporting for Corporate, including Balance Sheet and P&L flux analysis, SG&A reporting, close reporting and profit center detail
• Monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts
• Perform month-end closing process, analysis, and reporting of accounting information for internal management reporting, external reporting and audit purposes
• Preparation of external audit schedules for annual and interim external audits
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines and handle multiple task environment
• Assist with the research and resolution of accounting issues
• Requires initiative and the ability to analyze complex accounting documents to improve processes and reporting where results have monetary impact
• Support special projects as necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA preferred.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience
• CPA preferred 
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team while enhancing personal and departmental performance
• Requires excellent oral and written communication, skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and personnel at other branch offices and Corporate.
• Must possess strong computer skills overall, including the ability to navigate between different systems. Requires experience and competency working with Excel, i.e. VLOOKUP’s, macros.
