We are looking for a Sales Representative in our Columbus, OH location. This role will be part of the well-established Columbus Branch and our Metro and Infastructure team. Our Sales Representatives receive a monthly car allowance, paid expenses, a great commissions plan, as well as medical, dental, vision, 401k, and other great benefits.
Responsibilities:
  • Understand and sell BrandSafway’s safety culture and lifesaving rules practices.
  • Coordinate the sales of scaffold rental, erection, dismantlement services, other types of access solutions & fall protection equipment to achieve world class customer satisfaction.
  • Represent BrandSafway in a professional, ethical manner to the marketplace
  • Expertly represent Brand in professional, ethical manner in the Cleveland territory by providing knowledge and solutions with all the products & services BrandSafway offers.
  • Make sales calls at commercial, industrial, and other establishments –convincing prospective clients of the desirability and practicability of Brand products and/or services offered. Routinely travel throughout assigned territory to make these calls.
  • Optimize customer contact time by performing planning, correspondence, and support documents during non-selling hours.
  • Log all customer contacts, contracts, and change orders into SalesForce.
  • Provide technical services to clients relating to use, operation & maintenance of the equipment, using visual aids and demonstrations when applicable.
  • Perform job walks and review blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare access designs and cost estimates and/or to project improvements in productivity through client’s use of proposed solutions.
  • Draw up or propose changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would minimize product or service costs and ensure appropriate workflow of change orders.
  • Provide sound written business correspondence with sales letters, sales or service contracts.
  • Work as a team member, partnering with BrandSafway team to ensure efficiency and profitability of all sales contracts ensuring customer satisfaction and closing competitive business.
  • Excellent negotiation and selling knowledge required. Need to be able to build relationship and upsell to customer.
  • Maintain accurate expense records for reimbursement of true business expenditures.
  • Report to Division Manager significant changes in customer, prospect and/or competitor status and provide solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with emphasis on business, marketing, mathematics, engineering, or similar discipline
  • Strong ability to read blueprints; ability to visualize shoring, forming and scaffolding schemes
  • Knowledge of Salesforce preferred
  • Strong knowledge of scaffolding required
  • At least 3-5 years outside sales experience in construction field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Experience with MS Word and Excel
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Must be able to travel locally and some overnight travel
