We are looking for a Branch Manager. The Branch Manager directs and coordinates scaffold rental, sales, and construction along with services in painting and insulation activities at the branch level to achieve world class customer satisfaction while minimizing product and service cost. Also leads the assigned branch team and manages the operations to ensure high levels of safety, service, delivery, financial performance, and team member relations. Achieves sales and EBITDA growth and expands market opportunities in the assigned branch area.
This position requires a general knowledge of construction practices and an in-depth understanding of industrial and commercial scaffold construction principles and techniques. A thorough knowledge of safe scaffolding methods and materials, as well as necessary staffing requirements for construction projects is required. Knowledge of scaffold project estimating techniques is required. Due to the administrative nature of this position, strong managerial, motivational, and analytical skills are important.
​​​​​​​Responsibilities
  • Staffs, develops, and motivates an effective team necessary to accomplish branch objectives in an efficient and timely manner
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates construction functions to assure teams achieve pre-determined objectives in construction productivity, efficiency, safety, quality, and cost control
  • Coordinates materials management to ensure appropriate levels of inventory to meet sales objectives in a cost-effective manner and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Works to grow branch through the development and implementation of effective customer relations and innovative marketing strategies in multi-services of scaffold, painting and insulation, as well as cross-selling opportunities in refractory, LDAR and other specialty services offered by the company
  • Utilizes frequent interface with customers to understand their needs to ensure customer satisfaction and identify growth opportunities
  • Leads safety and worker’s compensation cost reduction initiatives for the branch focusing on safety as a primary concern and ensuring safe working practices in all branch construction and other operations
  • Facilitates a team environment where all team members actively control their processes and teams are responsible for meeting sales, construction, and other established objectives
  • Develops the annual Area/Branch budget, manages Area/Branch financial performance, and provides input for long-range financial planning to assure that the necessary resources are available to achieve rental and sales objectives. Analyzes and reports on operating and sales results and trends and contributes to monthly/quarterly financial and operating forecasts of branch performance
  • Participates in goal setting for direct reports, utilizing objective techniques and self-measurement relative to performance, and performs periodic review of accomplishments and activities toward the established objectives
  • Develops and motivates direct reports to maintain continuity and professionalism and prepare direct reports for higher levels of authority
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years in a general construction management position serving primarily industrial customers
  • Sales, estimating and operations experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong business and financial management skills
  • Ability to understand financial reports
