Brandmuscle is Hiring a Remote Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating qualified leads for the sales team.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is an ambassador of BrandMuscle, initiating contact with prospective clients (typically high-level marketing decision-makers at Fortune 1000 companies) as a critical first step in the sales process. The BDM is responsible for following up on inbound leads, prospecting, qualifying, and scheduling appointments for the sales team within key industry verticals. While the position involves significant outreach by phone and email. BDM will also utilize social media (i.e. LinkedIn Sales Navigator) in their efforts to engage potential clients. The Business Development Manager will work closely with members of the sales team to share knowledge and ensure a smooth transition from leads to opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have a proven ability to qualify leads, break through to prospects, overcome objections, and pique the interest of potential clients by nurturing prospects and sharing how BrandMuscle is helping other clients solve problems and/or achieve their marketing initiatives. A competitive spirit and an eagerness to succeed are also vital in this role. The BDM role offers advancement opportunities for those looking for an advanced career in sales and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities by prospecting and securing appointments with qualified decision-makers in a B2B environment.
  • Qualify leads and prospects by identifying and documenting specific needs relative to BrandMuscle’s products and services.
  • Nurture leads and prospects from “Awareness” to the “Sales Accepted” stages of the sales funnel.
  • Engage prospects by phone and email to generate interest in BrandMuscle’s products and services. Candidates should expect to make as many as 60 calls or more per day.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of assigned industry verticals, BrandMuscle’s points of differentiation in the marketplace, and be able to demonstrate the value/application of BrandMuscle’s solutions.
  • Document all activity, touchpoints, and enrich data captured within Salesforce.com.
  • Work with the sales team to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of B2B lead generation or sales experience with recent, demonstrated success selling to Director-level and higher
  • Excellent communications skills and a strong hunter/prospecting mentality
  • Competitive, detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and a team player
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to new and changing situations
  • Experience using CRM platforms to enter leads and log activity - salesforce.com preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience in marketing or agencies is a plus
  • BrandMuscle requires all team members to either receive a COVID-19 vaccination or to test and mask appropriately to protect themselves and other team members if interacting with coworkers, clients or vendors
