Uptempo is Hiring a Sales Development Manager ~ REMOTE Near Austin, TX

Are you an experienced Sales Development Leader who is highly passionate, competitive, and interested in joining a fast-paced SaaS environment? Then we are looking for you.

BrandMaker is currently searching for a savvy Sales Development Manager to help mentor and lead our growing team. You will be joining a family of high performers who are obsessed with innovation and challenging the status quo, especially within the marketing space. This role will be responsible for aiding the Director, Sales Development in hiring, onboarding, continuous training, and ensuring the growth and success of Sales Development Representatives.

Every day will bring new and exciting challenges. You will:

  • Work with Director, Sales Development to define and align Sales Development Representative goals, strategies, and tactics to our go-to-market initiatives
  • Complete performance development and career planning reviews together with the Director of Sales Development, developing each team member’s performance, interviewing of candidates and orienting each new team member
  • Participate in the recruitment process by conducting initial interviews with candidates
  • Coordinate and lead on-boarding for all new team members
  • Primary point of contact for new hires through the first 3 months of employment to velocity of RAMP for new hires is critical to SDR Manager success
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with SDR’s
  • Recognize team members for wins and high performance
  • Act as a sounding board for team members, remove roadblocks, and provide resolution to concerns
  • Develop new outbound sequences and continually test and monitor the performance of our core Outreach sequences
  • Continue to ensure core outbound sequences are up-to-date and aligned with the messaging provided by Marketing
  • Generate reports and dashboards in coordination with Sales Ops to ensure maximum SDR efficiency and visibility into core areas of activities
  • Lead flow – work closely with Marketing Ops and Sales Ops in the distribution and flow of AQLs and MQLs

  • Proven ability to lead with integrity
  • Strong ability to motivate, inspire and influence team members
  • Consistent track record of performance – from SDR, to SDR Specialist, and Senior SDR
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a competitive personality, drive to exceed goals, and strong attention to detail
  • Team player who possesses a desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented high-growth sales environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems (salesforce.com), including Outreach and ZoomInfo
  • Ability to demonstrate an aptitude for technology, and global business challenges
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting into Fortune 1000 companies desired
  • Proven capabilities and skills in account development, opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call structure/control, and time and territory management desired
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment
  • Must demonstrate working knowledge of information security, data privacy, and secure data handling processes and procedures.
  • University/college degree or equivalent experience required
