Brandes Associates Inc. is looking for a Computer Network Support Specialists, Journeyman responsible for providing Lab Management services for MDEWSSA Strike/Assault/Common users for a Department of Defense (DoD) program at Camarillo/Point Mugu CA. Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining PHYSEC/INFOSEC security standards
- Serving as POC for all issues affecting the facility
- Maintaining all required documentation (Rooms Binders/Access lists/SF70x forms/Visitor Logs/IDS Logs)
- Process physical access requests
- Managing alarm system (IDS)
- Training users on opening/securing facility procedures
- Serving as primary “callback” POC for after-hours alarm activations
- Serving as primary POC for security checks during power outages
- Providing regular “all-hands” emails with updates on issues affecting each facility
- Processing EWIL network access requests for MDEWSSA Strike/Assault/Common users
- Providing oversight of physical & network infrastructure upgrades in multiple MDEWSSA classified environments
- Providing unclassified/classified SharePoint administration, troubleshooting, user assistance and training in support of MDEWSSA projects
- Providing unclassified/classified file-share (NMCI NIPR/SIPR & RDTE based) administration and user assistance in support of MDEWSSA & AEA projects
- Processing requests and submissions for “Burn Rights” (NMCI SIPRNet)
- Providing ongoing support for initial occupancy logistical issues for specified rooms/spaces
Qualifications
Knowledge / Experience
- Between 3 and 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the job description and responsibilities.
- 3-10 years System Administration experience.
- Proven experience working with DoD directives and guidelines.
- Experience managing the accountability of IT assets.
- Experience handing classified and sensitive information in accordance with DoD classification guidelines.
- Openly and confidently be able to communication with senior government Civilians and contractor staff.
Certifications:
CompTIA Network Certification (Essential knowledge and skills to support the network regardless of the platform)
Education:
BS or BA degree in a Computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant Associate’s Degree.
Clearance:
Condition of employment – must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
