What you’ll be working on

About You:

You’re looking for a way to make a huge positive difference in the world & help the companies on the front lines of the solar revolution!

You want to be part of a small but driven team making a big impact on one of the most pressing issues of our client's time. You share some of their core values including “80/20 Thinking”, “Make Learning the Key Metric”, “Always be Testing Something,” and “Master your Craft”.

Most importantly, you love helping build better front-end user experiences and delivering value in a way that drives the mission of the company forward. You also aren’t intimidated by wading into an existing legacy code-base and polishing, maintaining, and improving what’s already been built.

In order to be successful in this position you must be skilled, highly organized, efficient, proactive, analytical, tech savvy, and an excellent communicator.

Do you want to learn? To grow? To make a difference?

Your Mission:

If you’re excited by building front-end user experiences and helping drive rapid product innovation in a data-driven company, this role could be for you.

Your primary responsibility will be rapidly coding up the front-end of their product. Examples of internal product could include anything from reporting views that drive business decisions to user interfaces for our customers. External-facing product examples include the user funnel and UX, from first click to installed solar panels.

The bulk of work (at least initially) will be on the front-end residential homeowner user experience. This could include re-coding from scratch existing landing pages for the purpose of creating a clean, clear template to build on (note our client don’t use js frameworks). It also could include working on and improving the in-house ab-testing capabilities.

The development process is based on rapidly changing business objectives, quarterly project work, the needs for refactoring/rebuilding core technology, and responding to day to day technological issues that come up.

Your day to day will be knocking out weekly Scrum points alongside and managed by the lead software developer who has been with us since 2014. You will work directly with their lead Product Manager, who will be helping to plan weekly sprints, as well as the rest of the team.

What you get out of this:

  • Competitive salary
  • Results driven organization
  • Remote location - work from anywhere on a North American time zone (they did this from day 1, long before COVID)
  • Your input matters! They look for the BEST. Period.
  • Work in an amazing industry. Your friends & family will say “woah, that’s cool!”
  • Fast-growing, fun-loving company. Get on the rocketship now!

They are shaking up the industry and working day in and day out to get solar on everyone’s roof. Come shape your future & the future of the world.
