Arizona is Hiring a Sr. Coordinator, Education and Initiatives Near Tucson, AZ

  • Create, facilitate, and coordinate content for financial wellness programming, teach and shares, and initiatives, including email communication, Trellis notes, program specific retention goals, and establishing and cultivating collaborative partnerships with on and off campus entities.
  • Management and disbursement of Last Mile grant funding to UArizona students including application, interviewing, and awarding processes.
  • Supervise a graduate assistant and undergraduate peer educators through one-to-one meetings, weekly staff meetings, and provide professional development and training including updated financial knowledge and policy information.
  • Provide direct support as a student facing position to students who need guidance regarding their financial wellness including meetings and workshop and programming content. This includes identifying obstacles and providing proactive and reactive outreach via phone, zoom meetings, email, and in-person meetings to counsel students through financial focused requests including but not limited to FAFSA processes, acceptance of aid and completion of UAccess to-do items.
  • Attend financial wellness related trainings (on and off campus), discussions, meetings, and/or webinars designed to improve financial knowledge and facilitate partnerships.
  • Take ownership of the Thrive Center's overall knowledge of financial wellness related topics and underlying theoretical frameworks to grow Financial Wellness Initiatives including publications and conference presentations.
  • Other office commitments - meetings, committees, and other duties as assigned (e.g., participating in team-wide intakes, New Start welcomes).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Extensive knowledge and use of principles, theories and concepts of a job functions, including working with students with marginalized identities.
  • Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards for higher education and the University of Arizona. 
  • Financial Literacy knowledge.
