Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County is Hiring a Development Intern Near Fort Collins, CO

Description

Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) is a place for kids to laugh, a place to learn, a place to grow and a place to belong. 

For more than 30 years, BGCLC has served the youth in Larimer County. Through amazing programs, caring staff, and a safe atmosphere, we give youth a place to go when they need support, care, and most importantly, fun. We give youth a place to call home.

BGCLC is looking for a highly organized, energetic, fun-loving, adaptable individual to intern with our Development Department. 

In this position, you will:

  • Gain knowledge & experience in non-profit development, management, grant writing, and event planning/coordination.
  • Gain knowledge & experience in different types of fundraising.
  • Research new foundations from which BGCLC can apply for funding. 
  • Research potential corporate partners, individuals, and foundations. 
  • Assist in drafting LOI’s, grant proposals, and grant reporting.
  • Assist with in-depth research being conducted into new fundraising markets.
  • Provide assistance with event organization throughout the year.
  • Assist with sponsorship and in-kind donation requests (both verbal and written).
  • Assist with mailings, filing, and special projects, as needed. 

**Assist with other duties as assigned. 

You are someone who:

  • Likes to have fun!
  • Has an interest in working within a non-profit setting.
  • Is eager to learn the “behind the scenes” work that keeps a non-profit organization running.
  • Has the ability to multitask.
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision. 
  • Has been economically affected by COVID-19. 
This is a part-time, 20-hour-per-week position with a pay rate of $14.25 per hour.The duration of this internship can be 3 - 18 months depending on the candidate's needs & availability.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a drug test that includes screening for marijuana, criminal background and driving records investigagtions, and reference checks. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English is strongly preferred. 

Other Requirements

This position is fully funded by the Workforce Innovation Grant through Larimer County Workforce. Due to that fact, all candidates must be willing to attest to the fact that they have been economically affected by COVID-19 (including providing a testimonial), fill out a survey that includes demographic information (which is not optional), as well as take a pre & post test with the organization.
