Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is Hiring a Youth Development Specialist - Part Time (Fort Worth and Arlington locations) Near Fort Worth, TX

Description

The Youth Development Specialist responsible for safety, administrative compliance branch programming and front desk operations.

This position requires working with large groups of youth, duties include but not limited to: adhering to all policies, procedures and processes; safety of members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities; administrative compliance and reporting with accuracy; membership tracking; implementing assigned programming and activities; provide excellent customer service; build relationships; and be a positive role model.

At the branches, youth receive targeted services in a safe, supportive environment from staff who believe in the organization’s mission. The Club experience focuses on three priority outcomes: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Positive Citizenship.

Requirements

Education and work experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Experience working with youth

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Available to work between the hours of 2:00pm - 7:00pm Monday – Friday during school year; up to 37.5 hours per week during summer, Monday - Friday between 7:30am - 6:00pm
  • Ability to be a positive role model
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Ability to relate to at-risk youth
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
  • Some positions require driving company vehicle. Candidates must have satisfactory driving record and a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties and to be covered under the company insurance the requirement is for employee to be a minimum of age 21.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge of various program areas such as healthy lifestyles, culture and arts, academics, social development and teen interests
  • Work experience or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Club) 

Pay & Benefits:

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Benefits: paid time off
