Boys & Girls Club of Stanton is Hiring a Youth Development Professional Near Stanton, CA

About us

The Boys & Girls Club of Stanton has been implementing afterschool and summer programs for youth in the Stanton community for over 50 years. We offer a fun and safe environment where youth can learn and grow. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join are team.

Responsibilities: - Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in a youth development program - Implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum to promote learning and development - Manage behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with program guidelines - Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times - Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate program activities - Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise - Maintain a clean and organized classroom or activity area Skills: - Experience working with children in a childcare, daycare, or educational setting - Strong behavior management skills to effectively manage a group of children - Knowledge of classroom management techniques to create a structured learning environment - Ability to educate and engage children in age-appropriate activities and lessons - Familiarity with childhood development principles and practices - Experience in Christian counseling or mentoring is a plus - Previous babysitting or theater experience is beneficial Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position. Duties, responsibilities, and skills may vary depending on the specific needs of the youth development program.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

  • Afternoon shift
  • Monday to Friday
