The Bat boy/girl wil work with the Clubhouse Manager to ensure the highest quality of care for the players in the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels clubhouse, visiting clubhouse, and umpire?s clubhouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Assist the Clubhouse Manager with pre- and post-game preparation. Including, but not limited to:

• Preparing water coolers for both dugouts
• Preparing food for players, coaches, managers, and umpires
• Creating a safe, clean environment in both dugouts to ensure health and organization
• Preparation of baseballs, hitting, and pitching accessories to be used during game
• Retrieving foul balls on the field
• Retrieving bats from hitters
• Ensuring umpires are well hydrated
• Cleaning playing field of hitting/pitching accessories and water coolers at end of the game
• Assisting in laundry for both home and away clubhouses
• Maintaining clubhouse cleanliness for both home and visitors? clubhouses
• Provide the highest level of customer service
• Exemplary attendance
• Constructive communication with coworkers & management
• Compliance with uniform/appearance standards
• Working efficiently through time management
• Contributing to a safe and secure work environment for coworkers/patrons

Related Duties:

• Ensure compliance with all Local, State, Federal and MLB requirements and regulations as appropriate for the conduct of business.
• Assist with field tarp as needed
• Other Duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Training: High School Diploma

Experience: Minimum of two years verifiable work history. General knowledge of the game of Baseball

Skills:

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Excellent verbal communication skills

Other:

Ability and willingness to work varied hours including nights, weekend and holidays as needed
